La particolare identità dell’Isola Comacina – un luogo straordinario per la sua intensa natura incorniciata dal Lago di Como, ma anche sede di un importante sito archeologico e delle Case per Artisti progettate da Pietro Lingeri negli anni ’30 –  è al centro di un’intensa esperienza didattica, finalizzata ad esercitare sguardo, pensiero e manualità in una pratica dell’arte che esce dalle aule per entrare in rapporto diretto con il contesto ambientale e i visitatori. In questo irripetibile laboratorio open air si è lavorato in stretto dialogo  tra docenti e allievi per interpretare lo spirito del luogo attraverso progetti artistici che si sono concretizzati in opere di varia tipologia, destinate a restare sull’isola per alcuni mesi. L’obiettivo principale di questo progetto, nato all’interno della Scuola di Decorazione dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, è dunque quello di rendere gli studenti sensibili al tema del colore e della storia come elementi costitutivi di un percorso progettuale condiviso, che si è poi sviluppato liberamente nella ricerca individuale dei numerosi giovani autori.

The distinctive character of Comacina Island – an extraordinary place due to its strong nature  framed by Como Lake, besides being the seat of an outstanding archaeological site and of the Houses for the Artists designed by Pietro Lingeri in the 30’s – was the main focus of an in-depth didactical endeavour, aimed at training look, thought and manual skill by means of an artistic practice that went out of the classrooms for establishing a direct relationship with the environmental context and the visitors. In this unique open-air laboratory, both the teachers and the students worked side by side for embodying the soul of that place throughout art projects whose outcome were artefacts extremely varied, bound to stay on the island for some months. The main scope of this project, devised within the Decoration School of the Fine Arts Academy of Brera, was to raise the awareness of the students with regards to the topics of the colour and the history as fundamental issues of a shared planning path, that was developed freely within the personal pursuit carried out by the young artists.
